C'est même un peu plus compliqué que ça. C'est un projet pour la partie flèche, mais dans la partie inférieure, l'octogone était déjà réalisé, c’est un projet daté de 1419 qui est le moment où arrive à Strasbourg le maître d'œuvre Johannes Hültz. Il arrive parce que son prédécesseur, Ulrich \u003Cspan style=\"font-size:11pt; font-variant:normal; white-space:pre-wrap\">\u003Cspan style=\"font-family:Arial\">\u003Cspan style=\"color:#000000\">\u003Cspan style=\"font-weight:400\">\u003Cspan style=\"font-style:normal\">\u003Cspan style=\"text-decoration:none\">von Ensingen\u003C\u002Fspan>\u003C\u002Fspan>\u003C\u002Fspan>\u003C\u002Fspan>\u003C\u002Fspan>\u003C\u002Fspan> est décédé. C'est Ulrich von Ensingen qui avait été chargé de réaliser la plus belle flèche pour la cathédrale de Strasbourg, la plus belle flèche d'Europe. C'est quelque chose d'extrêmement rare, donc il a coûté très cher sur le marché de l'art. Évidemment, ce type d'œuvre, ça vaut très cher. Et donc, pour ne rien vous cacher, c'était 1 750 000 qui était demandé par le propriétaire. Il a fallu évidemment trouver des mécènes et nous avons effectivement pu être aidés, d'une part par le Crédit Mutuel et ensuite par la Société des Amis de la cathédrale de Strasbourg qui sont venus abonder des fonds, également du Fonds du patrimoine et puis de la ville de Strasbourg.
