Le but : comprendre l’impact du changement climatique sur le récif corallien. Pendant deux ans, le bateau laboratoire a parcouru 100 000 km, effectué 5000 plongés, 58 000 prélèvements... Cinq ans plus tard, la Fondation Tara Océan présente les premiers résultats issus d’une partie des échantillons (environ 6000). Des prélèvements qui ont été séquencés pour déterminer la composition du microbiome des récifs et cartographiés pour enregistrer la distribution géographique.
